Biography

Nicoleta Turliu, mezzosoprano, is an opera artist of an international approach and a rich experience in the music theater and concert activity. Her vast repertoire extends from opera to symphonic and oratorio music, baroque music and sacred pieces. 
She has contributed to many concerts and festivals in Italy and abroad in a variety of performances with songs and arias as well as entered stage with roles such as Spiridon from "O Noapte Furtunoasa" (A stormy night) by Paul Constantinescu, Flora from "Traviata" by G. Verdi, Contessa from "Rigoletto" by G. Verdi, Suora Zelatrice from "Suor Angelica" by G. Puccini or as solist in sacred pieces such as “Stabat Mater” by G.B.Pergolesi, Gloria e Magnificat by Vivaldi, Missa Brevis op.49 by W.A.Mozart, Requiem by W.A.Mozart, Te Deum by M.A.Charpentier, Magnificat by J.S.Bach.
Born on the 19th August 1981, in Mangalia city, Romania, Nicoleta Turliu graduated in the year 2000 from the School of Art in Constanta, subsequently being accepted to study with “Ovidius” Art Faculty in Constanta, major: musical interpretation. After her many performances with the faculty and not only she graduated in the year 2005.
She continued her Master Classes at the Conservatory "Ciprian Porumbescu" in Bucharest with Professor Claudia Codreanu, a singer with a great career on the international stage.
She took her studies further to Rome, Italy, where she completed her musical training at the Conservatory of Music Santa Cecilia, under the guidance of Maestro Claudio Di Segni.
